Mom was always there for us and sacrificed so much so we could have school clothes, class rings and the things we needed growing up. I remember the summer of my senior year I wanted to go on a summer long college Christian choir group. The morning I left she gave me 25.00 dollars to spend, money she didn't have. Mom I love you and already miss you but you taught me about jesus and introduced him to me. Thank you for that and I have a promise I will see you again. Until then John 3 :16
As Moms youngest son, I have more fond memories than I could possibly list. But the one that I will treasure the most happened in the last few days of her life. When she was taken to the hospital he was not allowed visitors because of Covid. They finally gave me an exception and I was allowed to go see her. The next two days I spent a lot of time with her talking and I got the chance to feed her several meals. When she was transferred to the rehab facility there was no exemptions for any reason, so I didn’t get to see her the last week of her life, but the time we had in the hospital is a memory I will carry with me for the rest of my days on this earth.we love you moma, Jeff
So my favorite memory of MaMa, which is what the Cooley kids called her, isn't the prettiest of memories. So Dad and Mom took us down to see Mama. I think she was in her 70's. She spent the whole day making her spaghetti. By the time we finally got to her house, we were so tired- we went straight to bed. My mother noticed the pot was still on the stove, but didn't say anything out of politeness. The next day we ate the spaghetti for dinner. By the end of the night, we were all vomiting. She poisoned us!! Out of Love🤍 I love you Mama. I wish I had more memories, but this one is my favorite.
