Col. Donald C. Davidson, USAF, Ret.'s Obituary
Col. Donald C. Davidson, USAF, Ret. passed away January 7, 2021 in the home of his daughter in Tallahassee, FL. He was born in Los Angeles May 14, 1930. He is survived by his wife of seventy years, the former Joyce Savage of Sherman, Texas, daughter Donna Beidler (John) of Tallahassee, son Stephen Davidson (Sherry) of Athens, Alabama, and five grandchildren: Terra Rou (Bryce) of Alachua, Florida, Ian Clark (Laura) of Tallahassee, Cassy Smith (Brad) of Madison, Alabama, Nathan Beidler of Denver, Colorado, and Major Andrew Beidler, USAF, as well as three great grandchildren: Evan Clark, Graham Clark, and Brody Rou.
During a 33-year active and reserve military career, Donald rose from recruit to Colonel. He earned a B.B.A. from the University of New Mexico, and an M.B.A. from Rollins College. He was a 25-year ham radio operator and a Mountain Search and Rescue Team member in Ruidoso, New Mexico. In 1963 he was the prime founder of the Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union.
A graveside service with full honors will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
