Donald Barker 's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donald Barker, of Quincy, Florida, on December 1, 2019, at the age of 84.
Donald is survived by his doting wife of 67 years, Betty Barker, son Eric Barker (Laura) of Quincy, grandson Brian Barker (Lara) of Crawfordville, grandson Shane Brownlee of Tallahassee, and his precious great grandbabies, Tanner and Skylar Barker of Crawfordville. He is also survived by is sister, Caroline Skinner, of Macon, Georgia and brother, Herbert Barker, of Taiwan.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and 7 brothers.
Donald was born in McRae, Georgia on May 23, 1935. He was a man who didn't know the words "I can't." He worker laying fiber optic cable, heavy equipment, and as a City Manager. In his later years he repaired small engines and watered his blueberry bushes. His favorite hobbies included fishing and spending time with his family.
