Diania Lee Wolf's Obituary
It is with such a heavy heart I would like to announce Dia’s passing. She was a mother to seven, a step monster to one, an Oma to six, and an aunt to a dozen. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, and an empathetic ear to all. But to me, she will always be my best friend. Not the kind where you finish each other’s sentences, the kind where you don’t even have to start one. A look, a smile, or a wink and we just wrote more words than the bible.
It was a long and winding road for her to find me starting in Newark Valley, NY. It led through Georgia, Florida, and finally to Illinois. And whether we could see it or not, that path had been predefined long ago. See, it cannot be by random chance that two more perfect people would find each other. She didn’t just complete me; she took me to the next level and challenged me to be a better person every day for 25 years.
But that is just my version of the story. I am positive that everyone who knew Dia can point to a moment in time when she became part of their story also. Someday we will be reunited, but with our last kiss and her last breath she found peace… and that’s all I could have hoped for.
