Diana Lynn McLendon 's Obituary
Diana Lynn McLendon, 57, passed away on December 13, 2019, in Tallahassee, Florida, at the Big Bend Hospice House. Diana will be forever remembered by her children, Lauren McCowin and Cory Moran, daughter-in-law, Erika Moran, and her two granddaughters, Charlotte and Aubree Moran.
Diana was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, on December 27, 1961. She graduated from DeLand High School in 1979 and received her bachelor’s degree in special education from St. Petersburg College in 2007. Diana was a devoted special education teacher before accepting her current role as a program specialist for Autism Spectrum Disorder at the Florida Department of Education in Tallahassee.
Diana enjoyed traveling, cooking, attending festivals, working on airplanes, and spending time with her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tallahassee at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD)/Autism Institute, 2312 Killearn Center Blvd, Building A. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to any of the regional CARD sites (www.florida-card.org/map.htm).
