Debra Denise Smith's Obituary
Debra Denise Smith, 70, of Tallahassee, passed away June 2nd, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Norell Smith and one son, Aaron Horner.
Debra was born in Eldora, Iowa. She had lived in Tallahassee for the past 5 years after relocating from Indiana. She was a lover of nature and especially enjoyed visiting the Tallahassee Junior Museum. She also enjoyed music, spirituality, writing poetry, and her apartment book club. She was a member of the former Christian Heritage Church in Tallahassee for many years.
Debra is survived by her mother, Donna Lea Smith of Huntsville, AL; three children, Rachel Lavender (Charles) of Greenwood, IN; Andrew Horner of Greenwood, IN; and Rebecca Horner of Tallahassee; four sisters, Dana Hill (Rodney) of Huntsville, AL; Lisa Robbins (Rick) of Cairo, GA; Hope Buhler (Chip) of Atlanta, GA; and Joy Efferson (Jock) of Chelsea, AL; three brothers, Greg Smith of Athens, AL; Brent Smith of Huntsville, AL; and Tim Smith (Holly) of Fort Mill, NC; and six grandchildren.
