David Glenn Underwood 's Obituary
David Glenn Underwood, 32, of Quincy, FL, passed away on April 29, 2018.
David was born in Tallahassee on March 5, 1986 and lived in Greensboro all his life. He went to school Greensboro High and was a proud member of the Jr. ROTC and Greensboro Bulldog Football team. He would always say he was in the last graduating class at Greensboro High. David loved to hunt, play football and was an avid Alabama fan. David was a people person, always with a smile and like his grandfather a story of some kind to tell.
He is survived by his son, Aaron Underwood of Greensboro; his step-daughter, Brianna Martin of Quincy; parents, David and Frances Underwood of Greensboro; three brothers, Travis (Jessica) and Melvin Lynn, both of Greensboro; and John Capers of Bristol; one sister, Becky Underwood Root (Craig) of Jacksonville; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Crawford of Greensboro. He is also survived by his fiancee, Shamila Battles and her three children, Kia; T.J.; and Kaden of Greensboro. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Melvin Crawford.
A celebration of life will be held graveside on Thursday, May 3rd at 3:00 PM at the J.C. Whittle Cemetery in Rock Bluff. A visitation will be held at Lifesong Funeral Home (www.lifesongfunerals.com or 850.627.1111) on Wednesday from 5-8:00 PM. Donations may be made to the mission fund at First Baptist Church in Greensboro.
