David "Rodney" McCoy's Obituary
David "Rodney" McCoy, Sr., 74, passed away on Nov. 6, 2018. He was born April 6, 1944 in Chattahoochee, Florida to the late Helen O'nita and John Alfred.
Rodney was the loving husband of Annie McCoy for 51 years. He graduated from Leon High School in 1962, and from 1965 to 1971, served in the Marine Corps Reserve. He was a self employed carpenter until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of LifePoint Church, and The Marine Corps League, and past Coordinator of Toys for Tots for 3 years.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lowell, Bill and John and grandchild, Kaylee. Rodney is survived by his son, David; daughters, Dawn (Kenny) and Rachelle; brothers, Edward (Sue) and Kenneth (Esther); sister, Lynda (Jay); and grandchildren, Cameron, Breanna, Kelsey, Logan, Jordyn, Joshua and Colby, 2 great- grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews .
Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service, officiated by Richard Marcello, on Saturday, November 10 at 11:00 AM at LifePoint Church, 1224 Pedrick Road, Tallahassee. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to toysfortots.org.
