My condolences to you all. Dr. Bauer and I passed each other on campus almost daily, and though we never got to know each other well he always greeted me with a smile. There aren't many people that you encounter that leave an impression on you, but he certainly did. In this cold world his daily "hey!" was filled with enough energy and enthusiasm to brighten my day. I will forever be grateful for those small interactions.
