Daniel Gordon Rocawich's Obituary
Daniel Gordon Rocawich, 61, passed away on September 21, 2021 in Tallahassee.
Daniel, also known as Danny or Dan, was born and raised in Miami, FL to Margaret and Nicholas Rocawich. Just like his mother and brothers, he graduated from Miami High School. He was instilled with grace during his upbringing and fostered that his entire life. He was a devout father, brother, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. His generosity and sense of humor have been felt by many since he was a child. Dan took pride in working hard, only to give back to his friends, family and his community. He felt his greatest peace when he was by the ocean, so he spent his spare time fishing, boating and exploring the islands with his family and friends.
He was also the owner of Benchmark Erectors Inc. based out of Lynn Haven, Fl. As a businessman Dan was well-loved and respected among his colleagues throughout the southeast. Over the course of his career he worked on dozens of notable projects across the region including but not limited to Tyndall Air Force Base, the Florida Supreme Court, Emory University, Florida State University and Leon High School.
Survivors include his three beautiful daughters, Avalon Rocawich of Chipley, FL; Sable Burton (William) of Tallahassee, FL; and Nikita Hudson (Clinton) of Arlington, TX; one brother, Mark Rocawich of Miami, FL; and three grandchildren, Liam and Bodhi Burton; and Harlow Hudson.
A celebration of life service is planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Lifesong, 20 S. Duval St. Quincy, FL.
