Daniel Wesley Reams' Obituary
Daniel Wesley Reams, 60, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025.
Born in Monticello, Florida — in a doctor’s office behind the gas station (though he liked to leave the doctor’s office part out) Danny attended Riley Elementary, Belle Vue Middle School & Godby High School. He lived a full life of adventure, worked hard, and loved his family. Danny was a painter by trade, as well as a skilled carpenter and mechanic. Danny’s creativity led him to design and build his own recreational vehicle — a true reflection of his unique style.
Danny’s love for travels carried him many places; he loved drifting and exploring. In time, he returned to Tallahassee to assist his mother, and help care for his grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Joe Reams, and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Chandler.
He is survived by his loving mother, Reba Reams Williams, and her husband, Sherman; his children, Daniel W. Reams II (Brittany), Amber Reams, Ryan Reams, Dillon Reams, and Cassidy Reams; and his grandchildren, Clara Mitchell, Adelyn, and Daniel W. Reams III. He also leaves behind his sisters, Sherry Burch and Jody Reams (Lee Hopkins); nephew Steven (Jamie) Burch and their children, Halie, Cooper, and Nicolaus; niece Stacey (Pete) Edwards and their son Tai; nephew Joseph Cameron Davis; and niece Kassidy Hopkins.
Later in life, Danny was blessed with the companionship of Patty Seavey, who joined him in many adventures, travels, and “cowboy picnics.” He was grateful for the mother of his children Ginger Barwick, the mother of “Little Danny” and Amber, and Dara Reams, the mother of Ryan, Dillon, and Cassidy.
Danny had many close friends, including Owen Cox and James Eddies, who stood by him and offered great support as his health declined. His loyal dog, Bella, was by his side for 14 years and brought him great comfort and joy.
Danny was an old country boy through and through, and in the end; he found a way to keep on giving — as an organ donor, his kindness carries on to make a difference in others. He was a Christian and proud of reading the bible from cover to cover.
Danny will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his humor, and his ability to create and build with his hands. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who touched many lives.
To honor Danny’s love of the woods and fishing a celebration of Danny’s life will be held at Lake Talquin boat ramp, with the date and time to be shared at a later date. The family expresses deep gratitude for the many prayers, love, and support they have received.
