Dale and I were classmates at St. Ignatius Class of '69. I also knew Dale and his family from St. Procop Church in Cleveland since I worked with the janitor there in the summers because my Great Uncle, Fr. Uhlir, was the pastor there and hired me for a summer job. Be assured of my prayers for Dale that he rest in eternal peace and my sympathies to you, his family. At the request of his brother, Wayne, I will have a Memorial Mass for Dale on Saturday, May 18, at 10:00 here at St. Francis de Sales Church (Parma) (where am the pastor), with a reception after Mass in the parish's social room.

Dale was my stepdad but I don't like to use the word step. He was an amazing father to my sister and I and always had the best advice as a parent. I am blessed that I was able to move back home in time to spend some final good days with him. He will forever be missed and loved by all who knew him.
