Dale Frierson's Obituary
Dale Frierson, age 46, father to Ethan Frierson (12), died on December 17, 2015 after a long and bravely fought battle with brain cancer.
Born in Tallahassee, Florida on July 3, 1969, Dale loved the outdoors throughout the entirety of his life. He loved to travel with his family and friends to remote places to camp and experience nature. His curiosity for life and its natural history was contagious.
Dale, a geologist by profession, was knowledgeable in many areas of life. He could engineer, repair, or build anything he set his mind to. He was a natural born teacher who shared his knowledge with each person he encountered. He did this not out of any arrogance, but simply to be helpful.
He was an inspiring son, brother, friend, father, and husband, yet could not be defined by these titles alone. Dale was an individual. Smart, funny, solid, direct, and loving; his logic and intelligence made those around him feel safe and calm in the face of life’s challenges.
At his death he was surrounded by people he loved, each one had a gentle hand upon him in an effort to ease his passing. His memory will be treasured and preserved by the many people who love him, including his soulmate and wife Jessie, and his son who will remember him with all the richness, love, and humor that the man brought into this world.
