Cynthia Louise Ball Storrjohann's Obituary
Cynthia Louise Ball Storrjohann (Cindy Ball), 59, (formerly of Chelsea, MI) was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at approximately 6:15 p.m. in Tallahassee, Florida. She is at peace after a long struggle with ALS.
Cynthia was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 22, 1956 to Thomas O. Ball (deceased) and Margaret H. Kearns (Pinckney, Michigan). She spent most of her childhood in Chelsea, Michigan and much of her adulthood in Florida. She loved animals and her favorite thing was walking a loop at a nearby park with a pond in Tallahassee while feeding the ducks.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Kearns; four siblings: Virginia Gross (Lawton) of Dexter, MI; Patricia Ball (Dennis Dlugokinski) of Buena Vista, CO; Thomas Ball (Lori) of Lexington Park, MD and Michelle Samanns (Jason) Sturgis, KY. She is also survived by her fiancé, Jim Gregory (Tallahassee, FL); her pets Zoey and Mitsy (dogs) and Teddy and Baby Catt (cats) and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 8, 11AM at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 3410 Broad Street, Dexter, MI 48130. Immediately following the service, A Celebration of Her Life Luncheon will be held at the St. Andrews Church, 7610 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, MI. The family will lay her remains to rest in a private service later that day at the St. Thomas Cemetery.
Donations in her memory can be made to the ALS Association or the Humane Society.
