Corlyn Clark Mitchell's Obituary
Corlyn Clark Mitchell, 81, of Tallahassee, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Fuller Mitchell in 1987, and son, Mark Mitchell in 2025.
Corlyn and her late husband moved to Tallahassee from Clifton Park, New York in 1980. She was a devout catholic and a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More, and later, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, both in Tallahassee.
Corlyn's late husband, Marty was an officer in the US Navy. While serving in the Navy the family moved many times. They lived in California, Japan, Texas, New York and their last move brought them to Tallahassee, Florida. Marty was medically discharged from the Navy in 1982. Corlyn never moved away from Tallahassee and everywhere Corlyn lived she would make lifelong friends. She still maintains a friendship from her time spent living in Japan.
Corlyn enjoyed yoga and was a volunteer at a spay and neuter clinic in town. She especially loved being a grandmother to her four grandchildren.
