Clemmie Jones' Obituary
Clemmie Jones, born November 3, 1941, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2025 under the care of Big Bend Hospice at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida at the age of 83.
Clemmie was a pioneer in the State of Florida, being one of the first to move into Supported Living in the 1980’s. Most recently, Clemmie resided at the Goldson House Group Home, where she lived for the past 23 years. Clemmie was encouraged to explore and recognize her hopes, dreams and desires. Her passionate hobbies included listening to Elvis Presley music and watching Disney movies.
Despite facing many challenges, Clemmie lived a life filled with love, joy, laughter and resilience. Clemmie was loved by many people, and she will be deeply missed by everyone that was lucky enough to meet and get to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance.
A memorial service to celebrate Clemmie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 27th at Lifesong Funeral Home Chapel, 20 S. Duval St., Quincy, FL. Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy.
