Cheryl Aljorie McKinney's Obituary
An angel has returned to heaven. Retired from a brief career as an educator at Miami-Dade County Public Schools (preceded by a career at Gadsden County Public Schools and Miami Dade Community College-North Campus), Cheryl A. McKinney passed away at home in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday, February 19th at the age of 62. An U.S. Air Force veteran, proud graduate of Trinity International University (honors) and Florida A&M University (honors), member of Koinonia Worship Center (Carver Ranches) and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church (Tallahassee); Cheryl loved all and was loved by all. She will continually watch over her daughter: Nicole Moltimore; granddaughter: Kalen Blathers; brothers: Isreal McKinney, Jr., Bert Curtis, Jr., and Rodney Curtiss; sisters: Brenda Curtis-Sims and Emma Dawkins (sister-in-love); life-long friend: Ms. Sarah Anderson; and best friend: Bettye Cepeda. To her angels here on earth: Michelle Johnson, Anita Irvin, and Chelisa Brown; she is now your angel in heaven. She will also keep watch over a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; as she dances and rejoices in heaven with all who has preceded her.
