Charlie Eugene Christie Sr.'s Obituary
Charlie Eugene Christie, Sr., 83, passed away on August 13, 2020 at his home. He was born on June 5, 1937 in Tampa, Florida. He moved to Lloyd, FL. in 1978 and established a family. Charlie was a sheet metal mechanic, retiring from Kelly Sheet Metal after a long service in the welding industry. Charlie was an avid gardener, loved his family and where he lived surrounded by trees and nature. He never met a stranger and enjoying sharing stories of years past. He will always be remembered in his camo hat with chewing tobacco in pocket. Survivors include his wife Mary Lee Christie, son Charlie Christie, Jr. (Carolyn), daughter Kimberly Christie, son Raymond Christie (Laura), grandsons Micah and Samuel Christie, Dakota Colvin, Jackson Christie and grand daughter Olivia Christie. Along with a number of nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his father Raymond Christie, mother Isabel Christie and sister Peggy Keely, daughter Cynthia Christie and grandson Jesse Christie. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Lloyd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice.
