Ronnie and my father were best of friends growing up and it continued with their families when we were growing up in Lake Wales. Dad and “Uncle CD” were in business together. Ronnie and I continued the friendship at Andrew College. Our parents remained close. June and Carol were like daughters to my mother. RIP my friend.
Bob and Joe and Rich and I had a great time hanging out at the Edenfield trail head last Wednesday. It was our daily habit for years. We predicted the evenings’ basketball winners, asked about each others’ families, bashed the news stories we didn’t like, and enjoyed the trusted circle of our friendship. Everyone should know that Ron was smart, happy, and secure as he took off for the ride to the 2nd Red Oak sign.
