My husband and I met Charles while we were living at Royal Oaks apartments. We first knew him as our "maintenance guy", but he quickly became a friend, and someone we truly grew to know and care about. We lived at the complex for nearly a decade, so we were always excited to catch up with Charles when we ran into him. The thing I loved most was how friendly and kind he always was...a genuine person with a good heart. He is gone, but definitely not forgotten.
I knew him as Charles Jr. What a generous and kind soul. We all have bad days but I never saw that side of him. What a great guy; and sorry for your loss I’ve known him since his late teens. Always a super individual!! Don Foulke
Charles was always so kind. I can remember when Don and Charles went through cancer treatments at the same time and wore masks, before masks were a thing, to the ballpark to watch games. If you ever needed a helping hand, he was always there. RIP Charles.

I have so many memories of my favorite cousin ! We were always close as children and during adulthood! I will miss cutting up with him about our rivalry Alabama and Clemson! Rest on peace to one of the strongest, courageous man that I know. You will be terribly missed! I love u very much!
