Brian Richard Cutcliffe's Obituary
Brian Richard Cutcliffe, 35, of Tallahassee, passed away from natural causes on December 20, 2022 at his home. He is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Vicki Cutcliffe of Tallahassee; one brother, Brandon Cutcliffe (Cari) of Tallahassee; two nieces, Callahan and Finley; paternal grandfather, William Richard Cutcliffe (Christine); and his uncle and aunt, Retired Chief of Police, George Raggio and Retired Sheriff's Lieutenant, Carole Raggio.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Retired Chief of Police, Leo F. Callahan and Carole Callahan; and his maternal grandmother, Martha Ann Cutcliffe.
Brian grew up in Plantation, Florida before moving to Tallahassee in 2001 where he graduated from Chiles High School (2005). He started his law enforcement career with the Tallahassee Police Department Explorer Program where he obtained the rank of lieutenant. He served for 10 years as a police officer/detective with the FSU Police Department before joining Disney Security in Orlando until Covid hit. He moved back to Tallahassee where he began working for the Leon County Sheriff's Office in Corrections for a year and a half before he set out to be a sheriff's deputy on road patrol where he was currently serving.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at City Church 3215 Sessions Road in Tallahassee. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations be made to the Hang Tough Foundation at hangtoughfoundation.org. Tholley & Sarah Taylor with Lifesong Funerals & Cremations (lifesongfunerals.com or 850/765-3190) are assisting the family with arrangements.
