Bernice Mae "Stormy" Weathers' Obituary
Stormy Weathers, born Bernice Mae Broome, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida, just weeks before her 80th birthday. She was born on March 24, 1946, in Cross City, Florida, to Lonnie and Ruth Broome, who preceded her in death.
Stormy was also preceded in death by her beloved siblings Charles Broome, Charlotte Hightower (Martin), Rachel Wyrick (Floyd), and Joyce Lines (Jim).
She is survived by her loving husband, Mac Williams; her sister, Mary King; and her daughters Susan Ausley, Karen Ausley, Donna Ausley, and Tracy Waters. She also leaves behind her stepchildren Robert Ausley, Travis Ausley, and Kelsey Ausley.
Stormy was a proud grandmother to Christopher Winfield, Aaron Lee, Ashley Cobb, Corbin Cobb, Kayla Winfield, Kaci Winfield, and Justin Rodriguez, and was blessed with ten great grandchildren, all of whom brought her abundant joy.
Stormy spent many years serving her community as the Manager and Bookkeeper at Gary’s IGA in Woodville, Florida, before retiring. She was also a local business owner and entrepreneur, known for her hard work, determination, and independent spirit.
Above all, Stormy dedicated her life to her family and friends, who were always the center of her world. She had a creative and adventurous soul, enjoying painting, riding motorcycles, and tending to her garden, where she found peace and happiness. Stormy lived life with enthusiasm and strength, leaving lasting memories for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be remembered as a remarkable woman whose love, laughter, and vibrant spirit touched many lives. Stormy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 21st at 2pm at Shuckers Oyster Bar located on Lake Jackson - 4806 Jackson Cove Rd.
