Carol Daugherty

Birth date: Aug 22, 1926 Death date: Mar 6, 2017

Arnold Keithlin was/is my Father. My name is Carol and I am the only living relative left in the family. When my father became ill with Alzheimer's my spine crumbled at the same time and I became a quadriplegic. Family Social Services decided that I was too ill to take care of my father as I have been doing for 14 years after my Mother passed away and of course they were correct however they did not have to put him in a godforsaken nursing home more than 2 hours drive away. I don't know about you but I don't know any quadriplegics that drive. I imagine you have to have some ability in order to steer is an accelerator or brake put the car in Park Drive or neutral backing up would be almost comical. My father told me a few years or couple years before if he had to ever go into a nursing home he would not last a year... He was right he lasted just short of 11 months. He missed my struggle to learn to walk again to learn to pick up a dime (which is still difficult) to learn to eat or rather feed myself. I could go on but what's the point. It hasn't been very long that I've been able to hold a cell phone. I obviously don't drive and I am stuck and a place called DeFuniak Springs where I had been driven to 2 years ago and literally right of everything I and my parents owned. From a 22 karat gold tea set to my undergarments jeans furniture everything. I have struggled to regain some dignity and start over again and again here because I can't leave. I paid people $500 to take me to my father's bedside but they took my money and did not drive me so I had to say goodbye to my father over the phone not knowing if he could hear me or not and I also had to take him off the ventilator because he did not want any such heroic measures. My song still retains my fathers ashes and I would like them sent to me so I may complete my responsibility as putting my mother and father together and to rest. I am helping the staff reads this possibly understands this but most definitely respects my request to have my father returned to me ASAP. You may reach me via email [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this most vital situation...Carol A. Daugherty (aka Carol Keithlin). Please let me have my father back. I will gladly pay you for the postage and handling. I would appreciate receiving my dad that for my upcoming birthday on April 22nd please.
