Angela Lazzaro Bullard's Obituary
Angela was born and raised in Utica, NY, September 29, 1937. She moved to Sunrise Florida in 1962 and remained there until the middle 1980’s.
Angela was the proudest of being a Band Parent, to her daughters Nancy, Wendy and Debbie and enjoyed many years as a “Band Aid”, as they called the parents. Those special memories will be engraved in her children’s memory forever.
Angela moved to Jacksonville, FL and married George Bullard on April 26, 1992. They remained in the Jacksonville area until September 2019, when they moved to Tallahassee to be near her two oldest daughters, Nancy and Wendy. There, Angela delighted in visits from her daughter Debbie and son-in-law Brian, who always came baring Italian Pastries from Doris’ Italian Market in south Florida.
She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed sharing memories with them of her years living in Jacksonville and Welatka, FL, and of her and George’s many boat trips while living on the water there.
Angela and George moved to Allegro Senior Living in July 2022, where Angela remained until her passing on November 5, 2024. She enjoyed her time at Allegro, getting her hair done and visiting with other ladies at the dinner table nightly.
Angela’s Home Instead Caregiver, Dena Wiggins, referred to her "Spicy Pepper", and remembers her as a bucket of laughs. The two treasured each other’s company.
Angela was a free spirit and spit fire, who always spoke her mind, good or bad, take it or leave it.
George Bullard, the love of her life, passed away on October 5, 2023, 1 year and 1 month to the date of Angela’s passing.
She is survived by her three daughters; Nancy Cusmano Shank (Tim), Wendy Cusmano Griner, and Debbie Cusmano Kest (Brian) and George’s two children; Kevin Bullard (Kelly) and Amy Bullard Merrill (Grant.) George’s eldest son, David preceded her in death. Other survivors include she and George’s 11 grandchildren; Kyle Shank (Morgan), Taylor Shank, Tyler Callahan (Morgan), Sarah Ann Murray (Matt), Jennifer Hamby, John Michael Hamby (Sarah), Justin Kest, Brandon Kest, Mckenzie Bullard, Lorenza Addis and Trey Merril, and eight great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Forsthoefel and the many nurses and caregivers that helped mom along the way. They would also like to thank Home Instead for the last three years of care, specifically Dena Wiggins, Ebonie and Deborah. And they want to give a great big shout out to Big Bend Hospice for their remarkable care at the end of Angela’s life.
One last special note, a big thank you to Fr. Michael Foley for all he has done for the family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
