Marie and I have known each other since our high school years at Leon High School. My husband and I went on some wonderful trips with Marie and Mike back in the 80’s. We shared a lot of fun times. Great memories. Marie was a sweet and kind friend. She loved her family. As sad as it is for her to leave us, we have the comfort of knowing that she is in Heaven.
It’s so hard to say goodbye to a friend of so many years. We had so many memories of our teenage years . We went to Puerto Rico when we were 16 to visit good friends of my family. I went on many trips with her and her parents. She was in my wedding 56 years ago. In the last few years we would have lunch together occasionally and she’d tell me all about her two beautiful daughters and their children. She and Mike were always planning trips to see them. My prayers are with them to have peace in knowing she’s just fine now and we’ll all see her again someday.
