I only had the opportunity to be around Al a few times, but that was enough to tell me how great a father, friend and family man he was, and why he was so beloved. We are going to miss Al - he was our company and family attorney and became a very good friend. He was there for us during some very difficult times after my father passed away in 2010. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss.
Please know he was a big part of getting us through some tough times. Always sharing a story and a calm voice in the midst of a storm. Gone too early.

Al was my friend and lawyer and was a testimony of how to live life. I miss him but personably know he is in a great place.
Al and I always laughed about the Singing Tallygram promo pictures taken in the 80’s at another law office not to be named. That was my first introduction to Al Penson. What a great guy. We went on to be fellow Rotarians and various other club members. He always supported all my businesses from Singing Tallygram,Balloons Unlimited and In Tents Events. He was my attorney through all types of sales,acquisitions, lawsuits,advice. No matter the meeting we always took the time to catch up and laugh. He loved his wife and family first and foremost. I will miss him tremendously. He was one in a million.
My mom let me drive her new car and the three of us Al, John Locke & me) were headed to a homecoming bonfire in our senior year at the old airport. You may recall that the side of the road adjacent to the Locke house on Old Peach Ridge Road had washed out and it was one lane for quite awhile. Al was running late so John and I had decided to get in the car and hopefully Al would soon appear! Appear he did and at a rather brisk pace as his wheels slid all over the gravel roadway. To add to his grand arrival, he was hanging about half his body out the drivers side window and screaming “here I am!” As John and I marveled at his antics while sitting patiently along side the road next to his house, we could see the Penson vehicle drifting in our direction and braced for impact. My mom’s car was no longer a pristine new car. It was a victim of Penson road rage! We hooked up several times when I was at the University of Florida and he was in Tallahassee. Rest peacefully my friend and prayers from Karen and me to Ann and the Penson family. By the way, Great picture that all Gator fans will love!
I wasn’t popular in high school by any means. I would have blended into the wall if I could have UNTIL my senior year when i realized there were great kids that could be my friends outside of band. Lol
I remember Al being so nice to everyone. I remember him just always being present. His video at the last reunion was priceless. He will be missed by so many that loved him. We will all have a reunion in heaven someday. Al, you just got to beat us there. I know you will be watching over those you love!!
AL Pension wa's my first real date. I think we were in jr. High school. I remember him coming to the house that afternoon and hand delivered my corsage . He was such a gentleman. Oh Al, why you, so young. You will be missed.
