Alan Jay Williams, 56, of Quincy, passed away on October 31, 2020, in Tallahassee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laritza Williams. A private burial was held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy. Read Obituary
I know people say this all the time but A.J. was a complete joy to be around. It didn't seem like he a bad or hateful bone in his body. I can truly say from my perspective and other's that it was a rare treat to see his name on the schedule for that day because you knew it was going to be a good day when he walked in!! Rest easy my friend!! You are missed but well see each other again!
I’ve known Alan Jay since our middle school days. We were a close group of friends. We learned a lot about life during those days. We stayed in infrequent contact over the decades and it was never a surprise to hear his voice just calling to say hello.He was always a warm and kind. Full of life. He lived for the day. He deeply loved his family. His children and grandchildren were the heartbeat of his life. I was sad to read about his passing

Alan, was not only my father in law... He was my friend. One of the most joyful people I've ever met in my life. Just hearing his voice would bring happiness to my kids faces and they'd run to the phone or hang all over him if his was with us. Last time I spoke to him he was on oxygen, and still just worried about how we were doing and feeling. HEART of GOLD. The world lost an amazing man way too soon, but I know you are here us. I had the pleasure of working with Alan when we were both working at The Fresh Market. Not only Alan was a great boss to work for, he was a great person who had a heart and always did his best to make others feel great. The world needs more people like Alan and this world lost a great person, but heaven has gained a wonderful angel. May Alan Rest In Peace. Our deepest condolences to the family. We were saddened to hear about his passing. I’m neighbor of Alan’s. I was a guest in his house a couple of times. I didn’t know him for very long but he always made my wife and I feel welcome. He invited me over to watch the hurricanes play since we both were fans. He’d always bring some kind of treat when ever he swung by. Always made pleasant conversations. May he Rest In Peace.
I worked with AJ and I have never met anyone like him before and I will always remember him. Everyday that I worked with him, he would always be so happy to be there. Anyone who was coming into work that day, AJ would make sure to say hey with so much love. He was full of life and positivity. He always had stories to tell about his life and his family. I will never forget him and he will be missed by so many. I’m thankful that I got to meet him. Rest in paradise AJ.
