Dear Sandi and John:
Although we never had the blessing of meeting your mother, we knew she was a very special person through knowing and loving you, Sandi. After reading your mother’s beautiful Celebration of Life Story, we feel like we knew her. She loved her family very much and touched many many lives. Her light shone for all to see. We pray that you will feel God’s loving arms around each of you, giving the comfort and peace that only He can provide during this difficult time. Lean on God’s wonderful promise that as Christians, we will be reunited one day. What a glorious day that will be.

Aunt Sandra was beautiful inside and out. I remember her sitting at the kitchen table with her mirror and makeup all around her. I was fascinated at how she applied the different items. She always took the care to get precisely the look she wanted. I said earlier I was fascinated and I was but I was impatient too and wanted to get going. I’d say something inappropriate and Aunt Sandra would use four or five syllables to say my name with her southern drawl. Together Anyway I ended up with Aunt Sandra’s love of makeup and worked in cosmetics for quite awhile. Occasionally thinking of her when a beautiful woman walked by with her makeup done with precision. There goes a kindred spirit I’d think. Also, Aunt Sandra could bake a mean loaf of bread too and fill the house with wonderful smells. These are two of the many memories I have of her. My mom passed away several years ago. I know they’re up in heaven together looking down on Sandi and me. We are missing them terribly but at least they have each other. It’s bittersweet. Love you mama. Love you Aunt Sandra.
