Lillian Kent Williams

Lillian Kent Williams, age 82, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Community Hospice Morris Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL. Lillian was born in Hosford, FL, on October 24, 1938, to the late LZ and Pearl (Pelham) Kent. She lived her adult life in Pensacola, FL where she retired as a secretary from the Escambia County Public School system. After retirement, and together with her son, she opened K & W Service station on Jackson Street. She spent many an hour checking oil and filling gas tanks. After selling the service station, Lillian spent many years delivering phones for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services for Northwest Florida. Upon her final retirement, Lillian took up residence in Grand Ridge, FL, and finally settled in Webb, AL, on what she called the 'farm'. She loved living in the country and being near her family. She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church and could usually be found singing in the choir. She is survived by her daughters: Donna Allenburg (Stephen) and Teresa Forehand; daughter-in-law: Tracy Byrd; seven grandchildren: Tiffany Wilson, Kellianne Skelton (Brian), Chad Kite (Marie), Jonathon Kite (Shanna), Daniel Miller (Marissa), Heather Thomas (Adrian) and Christopher Allenburg; great grandchildren: Dakota, Chase, Cyrus and numerous bonus great grandchildren; two brothers: Ben Kent (Gaynell), Daniel Kent, Sr. (Inez); sister: Linda Whitely (Alan); sister-in-law: Sue Kent and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Dennis Kite and her brother, Donald Kent. Lillian was interred at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
