Jim Rodenbough
June 6, 1952 - January 13, 2021
James Robert Rodenbough Jim Rodenbough, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Tallahassee, FL. He was born June 6, 1952 in Eugene, Oregon and moved to Tallahassee in the early 1980’s where he met and married his wife Denise and had their son Zack. Jim loved his family and friends and had a zest for life that brought them new ways of looking at the world. As cattle rancher, mechanic savant, truck driver, union sheet metal worker, construction site manager and much more, Jim strove to make himself useful in this life wherever it put him, and he took pride in working with others that do the same, most recently at Mad Dog Construction in Tallahassee. In work and life, Jim sought meaning in what he did, shying away from compromise and standing strong in his convictions. Jim brought that same passion to his role as a family man, clearing and building a family home by hand, tending a garden and keeping bees. He is survived by his wife Denise and son Zack, as well as the many other friends and family who were touched by his soul. We would like to thank the wonderful people at Tallahassee Memory Care, Big Bend Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Project for shining a light on Jim's final days. Family and friends will be celebrating Jim’s life privately as time and space allow. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. -Romans 6:14
