He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Cleve, Carlos, Charles, and Blondie and Ducky Johnson, his wife of 51 years, Linda Marie Johnson (who was born to Anthony and Eleanor Lundquist and who died on August 31, 2017). Predeceased by brother Blondie and Ducky Johnson. Ducky has a surviving wife, Carolyn. He is survived by his sons Benjamin and Jimmy (Cassie), granddaughters Brittanie and Hailey, brothers Calvin (Charlene), Clarence (Yvonne), Curtis (Wendell), and Carl ‘Bud’ (Shirley), sisters Bertha Clayton, Dimple Poloronis, Eulene Traurig, and Susie Hutto, Clarence Wayne (Carolyn), Bruce (Wilma), Sybil Cloud (Donnie Fowler), Jane Dykes (Billy), step mother Jeanette Johnson, sister-in-law Carolyn and host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Cliff was known for his fine upholstery work. He was an avid gardener and hunter and always brought his beloved dog Missy with him wherever he went. Clifton was a good listener, and you could feel his love and care without him saying a word. He was quick to smile and was always willing to help others. At his wife Linda’s request, we are sharing this poem. I Am Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of the day. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow, My life’s been full, I’ve savored much; Good friends, good times, And “Dear Loved One’s Touch.”
