Cindy Joy Paulson

October 25, 1961 - June 18, 2022

Cynthia Joy “Cindy” Paulson (60) passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022 surrounded by her family after her long battle against cancer. She was born in nearby Monticello, Florida to Florence “Deanna” Barber and Winford Denonie “Buddy” Barber on October 25, 1961. She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated from Lincoln High School’s first 4-year class in 1979. She began working for Publix Supermarkets when she was 17 years old and officially retired in February 2022 after 43 years of extraordinary customer service and management. She loved spending her vacation time visiting all her family in Canada and making the occasional weekend beach trip with friends. Above all, she loved her family with all of her heart and soul. Cindy is pre-deceased by her father Winford Denonie “Buddy” Barber (49), sister Deborah Ann “Debbie” Barber (22), and husband Larry Michael “Mike” Paulson (57). She is survived by her 3 daughters Sarah Anne (28), Deanna Jane (25), and Mary Elizabeth (22) Paulson, grandson David Andrew Paulson (2), brother Edward Clyde “Buddy” Barber (52, spouse Rebecca “Becky”), and mother Florence “Deanna” Barber (82). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Big Bend Hospice for all the assistance and support they have provided for the passings of both Mike and Cindy. A service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the American Legion Hall by Lake Ella at 5:00 PM.
