Bobby Joe (Bob) Weatherford (a.k.a. “Pop” to his grandchildren) passed away May 31, 2018. Bob was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois on July 8, 1950 to Bobby Victor and Viola May Germann Weatherford. Bob received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. He began his career with the Ralston Purina Company in St. Louis, Missouri in 1975. Bob and several principals founded Quincy Farms (Prime Mushrooms) in 1980. He was CFO at Quincy Farms until he retired in June 2007. Bob served as past Chairman of the Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid outdoorsman and golf enthusiast. He is survived by his wife Marjory Hazenberg Weatherford; his parents; his son, Chris Smith (Abby); brothers, Stephen Kent Weatherford (Cindy), Ricky Carl Weatherford (Stacey), Roger Craig Weatherford (Deanne); grandchildren, Hayden and Sara Kate Smith; nephews, Lucas Weatherford, Carl Weatherford, and Gavin Weatherford; a niece, Hannah Costa (Patrick); and great niece, Lily Costa. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Weatherford home at Lake Talquin (206 Gilcrease Ln, Quincy, FL 32351). Interment at the Old Shiloh Cemetery in Mt Vernon, Illinois will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice House, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308; the Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
