Alice Carol Easom, born October 27, 1936 passed away at home on June 5, 2022. “Carol” as she was known by friends and loved ones, lived a full and vibrant life of travel, playing piano/keyboard and appreciating music, enjoying ballroom and Latin dancing, organizing and celebrating many family get-togethers and birthdays, and loved the companionship of family and friends. She was a jack of all trades and worked her entire life until she retired at age 80. She was a proud Florida State University graduate. Carol was employed at the Florida Secretary of State's office, Leon County public schools as an elementary school teacher, Sylvan Learning Center, Rose, Sundstrom and Bentley law firm, and as a caregiver for those in need. She is survived by her partner Jeff Sumrall, daughters Allison (John) Wharton and Darin Putnam (Ralph Streety), her three granddaughters Lindsey Wharton (Kyle Goode), Mallory Wharton, and Jordan (Alex) Merle whose lives she greatly enriched, and her two great grandsons Leo Goode and Rory Merle; brother-in-law Larry Jeffrey and nephews Dr. Brett Jeffrey, Eric (Chris) Jeffrey and Mark Jeffrey; brother and sister-in-law Mike & Linda Easom, nephew Christopher (Chrissy) Easom and nieces Ashley (Adam) Reynolds and Lezlie (Steve) Allen. She leaves behind many good friends, family and cherished relationships, namely her best friend Brenda Austin and nephew Brett who were instrumental in her care for the last months of her life. A celebration of her life will take place in the near future. Donations in her memory may be made to the Animal Shelter Foundation, P.O.
